Dr. Emily Weathered is a 2020 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a general practice internship with Fox Valley Equine Practice in La Fox, IL upon graduation. While Emily enjoys all aspects of general practice, she developed a particularly strong interest in equine dentistry during her internship. She opened Heartland Equine Dentistry in August 2021 to provide dental care for horses in the Chicagoland and surrounding area. She is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association.
Emily enjoys spending time with her husband (Matt), mini Aussie (Lola), cat (Penny), and Quarter Horse (Luna). In the summertime, she can often be found trail riding in the state parks of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. In the winter, she enjoys downhill skiing particularly back near her hometown of Madison, Wisconsin.
